Bose and Kapoor then plan to develop an exclusive platform for selling that allows merchants to upload and manage their inventory in any language, using any currency, connecting them through 25 APIs with logistics, warehousing and payment providers, and services such as loans, cataloging, and insurance.
Finally, B2C sites and apps are launched in November 2015 across ASEAN to enable consumers to buy from thousands of merchants who use Zilingo’s vendor platform at offline or online stores.
Shortly thereafter, Bose and Kapoor also launched their B2B business AsiaMall which enables traders worldwide to purchase in bulk from Asian suppliers.
The word “Zilingo” is an adaptation of the word “Zillion” or literally means billions who want to describe the large number of traders (zillion merchants), zillion products, and the latest styles (zillion trending styles) provided this marketplace, including as a picture of the customer (zillion of customers) who are satisfied. Everything is seamlessly connected through the presence of the Zilingo platform.
Currently, Zilingo opens markets in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and makes international deliveries to four other countries namely China, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Cambodia.
