PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk (SMDR) intends to complete the acquisition of PT Perusahaan Jasa Unduh Olah Jasa Andal (PT OJA) which was originally targeted to be completed in December 2017.
JAKARTA (infolog): Bani Maulana, President of Indonesia Ocean said, the acquisition process of PT OJA is still in process.
“Closing plan will be made in January this subject to approval,” said Bani quoted by Kontan.co.id, Tuesday (2/1) as saying.
In addition to acquiring PT OJA, the SMDR stock-coded company in Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) is also in the process of acquisition of Cold Chain Logistics company named Adib Cold Logistics (ACL) which is targeted to be completed in the I-2018 quarter.
Quoting the company’s official website, ACL is a logistics service company engaged in the cold chain industry.
ACL provides only two types: cold storage, storage space with a capacity of 72,000 kg and transport services that have several types of vehicles such as colt diesel junk with a capacity of 2.000 kg, colt diesel double 4,000 kg and tronton 10,000 kg.
Later, Samudera Indonesia will acquire about 67% of ACL shares.
While PT OJA is a terminal operator company that manages the Container Terminal in Tanjung Priok.
SMDR plans to acquire 100% stake in PT OJA. As is known, Samudera Indonesia business not only focuses on shipping companies, but also includes logistics, port management and terminals. (ac)
