PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk (SMDR) pocketed revenues of US $ 107.8 million in the first quarter of 2018. This revenue rose 5% compared to first quarter earnings of 2017 of US $ 102.15 million.
JAKARTA (infolog): SMDR Finance Director Ridwan Hamid said there were two new vessels that began operating in the third quarter of 2017.
“That is a factor of revenue growth in the first quarter of 2018,” Ridwan said, Thursday (31/5) quoted by Kontan.co.id as saying.
Revenue from the shipping and agency business of SMDR grew 13% from US $ 68.3 million to US $ 77.6 million in the first quarter of this year. This is income before elimination.
Not only from the shipping and agency services business, Ridwan said from the terminal and logistics business line earlier this year also improved, especially logistics. One of the factors is because one of SMDR’s competitor is closed and 100% of its clients move to SMDR.
“So that number is also great,” he added.
Based on SMDR’s financial report, logistics and terminal revenue before elimination amounted to US $ 37.11 million, up 2.03% compared to US $ 36.37 million in the first quarter of last year.
Until the end of the first quarter, SMDR pocketed net income of US $ 1.74 million, up 10.83% from the same period last year of Rp 1.57 million. (ac)
