Lion Air Group plans to build an airport in the Maja area of Lebak Banten with investment value of the new airport reached Rp 12 trillion.
JAKARTA (infolog): “Related to the airport development in Maja, the investment is around Rp 12 trillion,” said President Director of Lion Air Group, Edward Sirait, Thursday (8/3/2018) quoted by Liputan6.com as saying.
Lion Air Group continues to finalize the new airport development plan, including design and contractors who will be trusted to work on.
Unfortunately, Edward can not yet confirm when the development target can begin. The reason, Lion Air Group still take into account the potential passengers, especially for international routes.
“If the situation has to be done (development) will be done, so we need calculation, for example what kind of traffic, if we are ready to build, I can not say next year (built), depending on the condition of passengers, especially international passengers,” he explained.
Edward said the airport will be built with a capacity of 110 million passengers and is equipped with four runways. Until now, the process of land acquisition is still ongoing.
“Now we are in the process of land acquisition, now it is about 37 percent, and there we will say to be a kind of city, not just a metropolis, but also a logistics center, because we will combine with trains and land routes,” he explained. (ac)
