PT Bumi Lintas Tama (Kalla Group’s business unit) is bringing in a new cargo ship. This step is taken as an effort to strengthen the logistics business.
JAKARTA (infolog): Kalla Group President Director, Solihin Jusuf Kalla, hopes that the presence of these vessels will be able to develop Kalla Group’s marine logistics business in Indonesia.
Kalla Group targets the strengthening of the marine logistics fleet, specifically to transport various types of vehicles and various types of cargo.
“In the future we hope Kalla Group become one of the national and international renowned companies in this Sea Logistics business,” said Solihin in the inauguration of MV Aishakamilah ship at Priok, Saturday, July 14, 2018 as quoted by Fajaronline.co.id as saying.
The MV Aishakamilah vessel is the third vessel owned by PT Bumi Lintas Tama (BLT). Previously, BLT already owned 1 other Ro-Ro Ship, MV Omarrasheed and one MT Shafiyah Tanker ship.
Chief Operation Officer (COO) PT. Bumi Lintas Tama, Muhammad Naim stated, the automotive market in Makassar is currently very high. Estimated there are 7,000 units of vehicles that enter each month.
“Of that number we share about 33 percent. We hope with the addition of this ship can be market share up to 45 percent, “said Naim.
Naim revealed, to get this MV Aishakamilah ship, it should issue an investment of Rp70 billion.
As a RoRo Ship (Roll On Roll Out), MV Aisahakamilah works to transport Truck / Small Car units and will have PP-Makassar Makassar shipping route. (ac)
