PT Indonesia Air & Marine Supply (Airin), shipyard business of PT Dok Kodja Bahari (DKB), prepares autogate system or automatic door for container receiving and dispensing services.
Rudolf Valentino Bey, President Director of PT Airin, said that the company operates temporary landfill facilities (TPS) 2 of Tanjung Priok Port customs area to serve import packing or over-loading container load (OB-FCL) activities that have not been handled by customs obligations, handling of imported cargo warehousing less than container load (LCL).
“According to the Tanjung Priok Customs and Excise program, the 2nd TPS has to implement the autogate system, and in the near future the gate system will be tested at Airin TPS,” he told Bisnis.com on Thursday (19/4) / 2018) as quoted as saying.
Rudolf, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Association of All-Indonesia Temporary Shelter Entrepreneurs (Aptesindo), stated that the application of autogate system in TPS line 2 will facilitate Customs and Excise officers to monitor containers since entry to exit TPS connected to digital surveillance system of Customs and Excise.
“So we as the TPS 2 line managers strongly support the program, and internally we will also urge all TPS line managers 2 members of Aptesindo to succeed the auto gate system,” he said.
Main Service Office (KPU) of Customs and Excise of Tanjung Priok Port will require all managers of 2nd tiered temporary landfill (TPS) facilities in the customs area of Priok port to implement autogate system in the service of receiving and dispensing of containers. (ac)
